Default New Mustang

Hi Folks,
Well, after driving several cars because I have the sports car bug, I have decided on a Mustang GT. I have driven MANY. Mercedes SLK 280, Corvette, Dodge SRT8 6.1 Hemi Charger, and several more. The best bang for the buck is the Mustang. I will look to purchase my Mustang in August. I want it in Grabber orange and stripe kit , Automatic ( disabled Veteran, so I need that) and seat warmer, side airbags and loaded loaded loaded. I may even special order it If I have to. Anyone have any advice at all about a new GT?

Thanks
Rick

Not sure when they'll hit the streets, but I imagine the '08s will be around then or soon thereafter. You'd probably be able to grab a good deal on any '07s left on the lots. Or just take the plunge and get yourself a bright shiney '08 and call it a day. Either way, you'll love your new Mustang.

Great decision, Rick. That's a pretty nice group of cars you pitted the Mustang against. You'll love it (as most of us do). Not 100% sure, but ordering for an August purchase might be a problem since you'll be in between the 07s and 08s. Since you're stillsome time out from the purchase, go over every possible option, and if you have any questions, the people on this board are great about answering them.I ordered mine, and like an idiot, I didn't order3:55 gears for mymanual, but other than that, it's perfect. If you have some free time, read through the drivetrain/handling/appearance subsections. There's some really good info in there.

Not to sound like a butt, but I've noticed(here in SoCal) the Grabber Orange isn't very popular and some dealers are making better deals on them, if you notice on E-Bay the Grabber Orange GT500s are a bit cheaper than the Black/Red/White ones. Just my observation, with that said, maybe a very careful inter-net search will let you realize your dream GT at a price you might be surprised over(with all the amenities you want). Just trying to help, hope I didn't offend any G O owners, I think they look cool(they must have polished Bullitts IMO) and have that "muscle car" look. Good luck[8D]

Hey man. Great choice. Trust me... You will have to change your pants after you put the pedal to the floor...

If you have to travel to find the vehicle you want, just think of it as an opportunity to spend quality time with the new addition to the family! You have come to a great conclusion, and there is lots of information available from the members on this forum. Welcome to the club

Welcome! I am also adisabledVet.The auto is great in these cars.I am very happy with it.Its easy to enter and exit. The onlything i don't like.Is the shoulder strap rides on my neck. It does not adjust up and downon the car body. Other than thatone little thing, its wonderfull car.
