I am very impressed with the Hurst. There is an amazing difference in the length of the throws. I wouldn't call it super smooth, but it feels amazingly "solid" as you row it through the gears.

Make sure you use locktite, even on the handle screws! I put it everywhere except the handle screws and it started rattling at 3k RPM after just a couple of days.

Also, when it's engaged in gear, mine has a very small play that allows me to move the shifter side to side very slightly. Anyone else with the Hurst shifter has that also?

Mine does that too. when in gear i can move it down a tad? is this normal? I dont know if it did that in the beginning. I had the dealer install it.
