Fuel pump alternatives?
 

Yo. Pretty new here. Just wondering if there's a cheaper alternative to the whole Ford GT fuel pump system that's floating around, such as prices (or speedshop sites) from somethingalong the lines ofWalbro (200 lph+), or anything else you guys can throw at me. I drive a 5 speed2005 GT, and I'm planning to go big with it after the JE pistons, and Crower rods, and a little somethin' somethin'.Thanks. I appreciate any feedback.

Well if your going to put that kind of effort and money into the motor then I would say do the dual GT fuel pump setup. It is worth it, and there is nothing good about leaving a week link somewhere.

Depends how much HP your going to push. You could get a Boost-A-Pump for the stock pump, and that should be good to about 500hp. I had a Walbro pump in mine, all for about 4 hours before the pump failed and burned out. They aren't made for the retunless systems in our cars. Now I'm running a B-A-P and it's working great. In fact, working tooo well (i'm running rich).

+1 on Walbro's not going well with our cars. No personal experience here, but I've heard a few stories...

Dual Ford GT fuel pumps thats what im running and they are great. PITA to install though.[&o]

Youmean you were running dual GT pumps. :) Sorry, that was mean. Sucks you blew your engine. Hope you get your new one soon.

Heh, if you wanna run 500+, you better talk to jdback19. Be prepared to get a new engnine....
