I got (getting) mine at $25,448.50 buying through a military sales program. Pick up in September when I return to the states.

It's a 2008 GT Deluxe with Interior Upgrade, Comfort Group, Side Airbags, 3.55 Gears, and 17" Machined Aluminum Wheels.

It stickers for $28,845+, with invoice being around $26, 645. Military sales workedout great for me.

I bought a left over brand new 06GT in February 07. My car is well equiped (IUP, Shaker 100, 17" machined wheels, alarm, side airbags) for $23,700 plus tax and tags. I think i made out very well. I got two dealers involved in the purchase and it was basically a bidding war for my money between the two. my advice is to shop for leftovers which are being blown out.

Just ordered mine last week. The '08's are only available to be ordered by Military people overseas for pickup when they return is what I was told. Dealers may take orders before then, but they basically sit on the paperwork until Ford opens up the option.

Getting mine on the "D" plan and for a GT with only a couple of options, I am a hair over 25K.

I hate to say it, but you got owned. I was in car sales (chevy) for 2 years before I joined the Army, and YOUR CREDIT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE, the only thing your credit can affect is how much car you can buy. In fact you should negotiate the price before they check your credit, or say your getting outside financing.

Now as for invoice, get on Ford's site and search dealer inventory, there are plenty of GT's with invoices in the upper 25k.
