Is it really worth it...

Ive been craving a manual...! I was wondering if it is worth putting a six speed racing transmission in the car. I realize that a clutch and flywheel and all of that needs to be installed as well. What else is involved? I am very curious. I am definetly not considering this heavily. How much do you think it would cost to convert from an auto to manual? And... is it cheaper to trader in the car for a manualmustang GTeven though I have all the mods on the auto?!

see and save up for a 08 (if its worth it). I know the 09 are suppose to get work done to them. But from what ive read(since im not mec) it cheaper to sell your car. You can either sell your bolt on and put them on your new car

i think you would want a 5 spd vs a 6 spd if you're goin to the track and replacing your gears.... if you're looking for better cruising and lower rpms, then 6 spd would make sense

+1 Basically with a 6 speed you'll get double overdrive and at US legal speeds it is pretty much useless unless you couple that to high gear(4.10), then you'll be able to drive your car at the optimal rpm range which is usefull for spirited driving on twisty roads, again not very usefull in the US unless as stated before you do tracks.
