What's Your Boost Gauge Reading?

What's Your Boost Gauge Reading?
My Saleen was installed with a 3.4" pulley which I believe should be in the 9-10 psi boost range. My boost gage tends to read in the 7-8 psi range when I get on it. Is that normal or should I be reading higher?
Thanks

mines set at 9psi and it reads 9psi at full boost.
I would think its not normal for it to read below what your supposed to be at. Then again different factors could cause the boost gauge to read lower

3.2" pulley. It reads about 11.5lbs or so. Used to read around 13 before I put headers and high flow cats on.
you could have belt slippage as Perdi indicated. Being off by a pound or so I wouldn't think it was a bypass valve issue or a vaccuum leak somewhere. What length belt are you running? Are you using the POS Saleen idler pulley or the factory one or aftermarket or ? Also how old is the belt?

RE: What's Your Boost Gauge Reading?
Ok guys, here's the deal....
Everything was installed new this past weekend by me. I used the two new idler pulleys that came with the Saleen kit as well as the 3.4" blower pulley and a 108" belt (all new).
The saleen blower pulley was in a box that said 3.4" on it (original saleen box) but I did not actually measure it (thought about it but didn't). Based on the readings other people are getting it almost sounds like I have a 3.6" pulley. I don't think I have a belt slippage issue.
Another thing I thought of was possibly the bypass stop bolt being out too far. If you're familiar with the saleen install you know what a pain that bolt is to get to. I could try adjusting that as well.
I think I should also measure the pulley just to verify it's size.
Also, on a side note. In another thread I mentioned that I was having trouble getting the intercooler pump to run. The harness was wired correctly and I was getting voltage but I determined that the timer module was not functioning. Instead of messing around with another timer module I talked to JDM and ordered a relay module that they use instead (currently it is jumpered to come on when the ignition is on). Anyway, yesterday I got a call from JDM and they told me they were having similar issues getting the pump to run. It turns out that Saleen changed there wiring on the module (different pin locations) and thats why they aren't working. JDM has corrected there wiring to match and they're sending me a relay that is wired correctly. Just an update.
