I think I put 1000 miles on my car the first week I had it... but the point is, there's very little opportunity for people to get the work done with the 3 year warranty.. Its great that you have that warranty, however its just a waste of money to pay $400 extra if you only get 1 yr or 12K miles. Getting your car dyno-tuned is safer than the tune that Ford loads into your tuner. [sm=bicker.gif]

I agree that it's a waste of money to pay extra for just a 12 month warranty.
Is getting it dyno-tuned even safer than the Ford tune?!
Please to explain........?

A dyno tune is normally done with the car and measuring the actually a/f ratio amongst other things. They can adjust parameters on the fly and set the car precisely where is needs to be. It will squeeze the max HP for your setup because its tuned "perfectly", the way the engine is suppose to run. Your Ford tune is still just the same as any other email tune with less aggressive settings. Meaning maybe my timing is bumped 4 degrees while yours is only 2 or something. They can send that tune for your car to just about any other GT since the settings are not anything to extreme at all. This is why there is not any big advantage with the Ford tune over the email tunes since neither are measuring the exact a/f. I am running on the rich side just like you are because that is the safe side. The way the email tunes are set are plenty safe because they have been tested on many cars and unless your car is a fluke they will run just fine. Even if your car is a fluke, you will not damage your car right away generally, and you will notice something wrong and call your tuner and they can fix it very easily.

I'll be installing a Whipple HO kit (FRPP HO kit) in a couple weeks.
The kit is coming from lethal with the Lethal Performance Ultimate Pro fuel system upgrade and then the car will be heading over to Justin at VMPTuning to work his voodoo.

He will be trying a bunch of diffrent combos to put together Power Packs with tunes in conjunction with Lethal Performance.

Thanks for explaining that for me Matt.
I'll probably just stick with the FRPP tune until my warranty runs out, and then upgrade to a more aggressive B ama, Brenspeed or Superchips tune.
I really LOVE my car though, and want it to last "forever" if possible...!
By forever I mean until I croak.

haha...i would advise you to get a dyno tune if you can. It is well worth it and will not cost any more than the email tunes in reality. I will eventually have my done.

Sounds like a plan! I heard there's a GREAT Mustang performance specialist in Freehold N.J. (JDM Engineering) which is only about 45 minutes away from me.
Anyone on the MF have any experience with them they'd like to share with me?
The clock is now at 2 1/2 years and ticking.........

That's great to hear!
If I understand what you're saying, the ride out to JDM will take me about 45 minutes, and the ride back about 27........

Actually if you want a custom tune for a Whipple/FRPP you'll have to take your car to a shop with a dyno or at least a wideband to measure a/f ratio, I just called the most popular tuners including Brenspeed, B a m a, Lethal performance and Whippleand none of them is willing to send me a tune by email even when my car isbasically stock plus Whipple HO + LT Headers + Corsas, I'll have to say Brenspeed was the most friendly and willing to help, at least he said he could help If I give him the a/f readings, the others just said, "we dont do it" (not complaining about any of them, I respect their policies)
