Default Ford Racing Parts

Does anyone have any feedback on these? The supercharger is listed at around 4500 which seems like a better price than most places. Is this the same supercharger saleen uses? Does anyone have the CAI and tune from ford? Thanks

Yep, I've got the FRPP and I'm extremely satisfied with it even though it costs more and gives less h.p. gain than other aftermarket combos because it's safer for your car (doesn't push the envelope), and maintains the full factory warranty (important to me).
Not a "night & day" difference like some folks describe for their Brenspeed and B ama and dyno tunes, but still a "cloudy vs. sunny day" change, and that's good enough for me!
Also, I LOVE the GTA's that are included in the FRPP....!!!

Warranty is only good for 12,000 mi/1 year if the powerpack is installed after the sale... If warranty is a concern, then you shouldn't be getting a supercharger. For the CAI, I personally would have a tough time swallowing an extra $400 for less performance and a 1 year warranty... JMO

Not true, if your car has less than 1000 miles (like mine did) then you keep your full 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty intact.
If you car has more than 1000 miles then the warranty is only for 12 months.
The trade-off for less performance is that Ford's racing package is safer for your car, so if you're more interested in preserving your car than in pushing the envelope and wringing a few extra tenths-of-a-second in performance (like I am), then it's really quite an easy decision.
Besides, I love the idea that I have the exact same performance mods that are on the Shelby GT-H.
Good enough for Carroll- then good enough for me!

I think I put 1000 miles on my car the first week I had it... but the point is, there's very little opportunity for people to get the work done with the 3 year warranty.. Its great that you have that warranty, however its just a waste of money to pay $400 extra if you only get 1 yr or 12K miles. Getting your car dyno-tuned is safer than the tune that Ford loads into your tuner. [sm=bicker.gif]

Lethal has the best price for this unit (black wrinkle, non-intercooled).
