My 4th gear goes over 140 before redlining... I have the 3.55 gears.
Are 3.55's what comes stock on the new GT's are is that an option?

So should us guys with automatics turn our overdrive off if we are going to race the 1/4 mile?

Dont believe it matters because unless your trapping like 120+ you wont go into overdrive.

3.55 is an option in 07, was standard in 05-06 5speed manuals!

OD is 5th gear, turning it off locks you out of 5th gear, thats it

some car will not max out each gear (taking it to redline) if overdrive is on. I cant remeber if my bro car does that or not; i drive a stick

turn it off when racing.
Unless you have a 4.33 gear you dont want it on when drag racing.

Funny, in my 04 f150 when i turn off OD, my rpm's are higher in all gears. Last night I took off OD aroung 40mph and was taching around 3500rpm, turned on the OD and the revs dropped down to around 1500rpm. You tell me?

because your in youre 1:1 gear and not the .71 gear
