Don't give up because of one dealership. I had a bad experience where I bought my 03 V6. I went to another dealer (Bob Bell in Glen Burnie, MD) for my GT and have been very satisfied with the deal and really happy with the service. You shouldn't let someone else deter you from what you want.

Dont buy it just cuz its has warr...you dont want it sitting around waiting for it to get fix cuz its always breaking. Shop around; where in jersey are you? I live in south Jersey near cherry hill.

Yes it does have a warranty by why the hell would you want it knowing it had problems before the ink is even dry on the contract. Its not like in early 05 when getting a GT that had all you wanted was tough. You can get want you want pretty easily now so shop around and see what else is around. Also.....driving a car hard with like 0 miles isnt really the best thing to do anyway.

Very true! Also, everbody seems to be blaming the dealer. From the story I read, I don't see how the dealer did anything wrong. He let you drive it, you weren't satisfied, hegave you back your down payment. What was he supposed to do? Lay hands on it and heal it?

Maybe you should have let the engine break in for a little more than 15 miles before you started romping on it. I work at a Ford dealer in the midwest and I have yet to see anything like that happen to any mustang we've sold in the last year and a half.

Just so you know buying a new 2006 model is actually a bad idea because it already has 1 year of depreciation just so you know. I would wait 1 year to get the 2008 model.

If you look at the deal he was getting fo ra new car you'll see why it could have been a great idea!
The depreciation come from the miles driven, not the year of a car. A new 2006 will be worth more than an '08 with 12,000 miles on it. Plus the dealer might throw in some extras just to get rid of an older model.

Actually it isn't a bad idea because you can get a better deal on an '06. Since they are cheaper, the extra money you pay for an '07 or '08 would most likely offset the difference in depreciation. You might even be paying more than the difference in the depreciation amount for the added costs of an '08.

Plus '06s are slightly lighter than '07s, which = slightly faster. And '06 manuals come with 3.55 rear ends standard, on 07s you have to pay extra for 3.55

Nothing wrong IMO in taking an 06 off the lot as long as the price is right.

I had no issues with my dealer...made a deal via E-mail and stopped in to order the car in December 2005 and leave a deposit. Picked her up 2/1/06!!

Conicidently pick up from speed shop for the Vortech install on 2/1/07!!

Lovin it ever since!!!
