2% of the time I thoroughly enjoy rowing thru the gears.
The other 98% ranges from annoying to downright painful.
But I do get a lot of props from others (particularly other old farts and even cops) when they look inside and see that Hurst queball.

I appreciate your enquiry, particularly since this is my 1st car modded for the 1/4. Been driving fast cars for over 30 years but this is my 1st mustang. You can see all the details of the entire transmission setup at

http://www.fbperformance.com/NewSite...?get=18&t=Top2

Vehicle is still my daily driver and I am hoping it can remain so for a while yet.

Nice! it is basically and AODE and looks great. Hell you'll have better streetability than I do!...lol Mine is pretty good but I am a little hardcore at the tracks so mine is a full manual with no lock-up. Your set-up will fair better on the street than mine but I am happy with mine on the street. The no lock up is just a pain sometimes but I sacrafice it for the track.

BTW - I am in the same boat as you. This is the first Ford I have ever owned and the first modular motor I have ever turned a wrench on. It has been a learning process every day for the last two years and I can honestly say I hate cars with computers!...

PS - you've got the set-up going now - swap to an F1 and spray down low and it will be insane!

I can understand people who buy the V6 with auto but not the GT. That's a real sports car and sports cars and auto doesn't fit in my opinion.

I love my stick. Even in traffic, I don't mind the shifting. It worth it when you get out in the open and can play.

Everything I drive is a manual transmission, I'd never own an auto high stall or not. Going fast in the 1/4 is well and good but a built auto with an high stall is for guys with sponsored cars imo. If the 3650 breaks the t56 will be in its place

THANKS GUYS! I think I will keep my stick after all. Just hearing you all talk about stangs makes me wanna take a drive. Besides I'm upside down in equity and trading for an auto my payments would go from like 544 to 700 probably. Thanks for everyones opinion.

Glad your keeping it, and I know how you feel about the negative equity.
