+1.
I've heard the exact same thing.

Ok, if I can remember correctly, that feature was on early 2005's. Some people reported that their windows would spontaneously open when they weren't around. Definitely not good to come back to your parked vehicle and find the windows rolled down...

In any event, this feature went the way of the carbon vapor trap in the intakes and was discontinued mid year.

It was speculated on the Mustang boards that Ford decided to do away with it, rather than find out what the real problem was. That's just rumor, though, so there may not be any truth to it.

Personally, I wouldn't mind having it on my '06.
Yep I have read a couple threads stating this.

There is an aftermarket kit that does exactly what your talking about and more called a Window Valet, however it is for corvettes. Im sure there must be something out there similar to this for mustangs. If anyone can find one or knows of one I'd be interested.

Here is the link for the vette one: http://www.topdowntech.com/wvc6-Documentation.html

From what I remember some of the '05's could have this feature turned on or off bythe dealer. They did away with it for '06. The catch was that if this feature was turned on, your retained accessory power (windows/radio still work after the key was out) didn't work anymore.

My 2005 GT was built in March of 05 and I have the doors that lock after I back out of my parking space. Never tried to do the other thing. I believe it's an aftermarket alarm. They have changed a few things, like how long I have to hold the trunk release buttton, if the lights blink w/ the alarm on/off chirp, etc
