Default Dennys DSt weight

Hello guys I received my DS and it does not weight 23 like they say it weight 28.5 punds. It's something wrong or what is it?

If I had to guess i'd say it's the new one, and the new pinion yoke is the added weight.

It's still MUCH lighter than the factory piece. If you really want to get into the nitty gritty the 3" diameter helps even more than others because of the arm of the inertia. The further the weight is from the center affects things as well. Think of it like this - a 17" wheel that weighs 22lbs will perform better than an 18" wheel of the same weight. We're talking ever so minute amounts, but it's good to understand the principle. Rotating weight is a funny thing. I think the Denny's is the best out there. Hopefully this makes sense, since i'm halfway through a sixpack at the moment lol

How'd your driveshaft work out? did you need to adjust your pinion angle?

I weighed mine on my bathroom scale and got 25lbs, the stock shaft weight 41 or 42lbs, can't remember which.

My scale is probably not accurate, but you can get an idea.
