What have you done to the car? Is it completely stock? Put 22 inch rims on it or something? 500lbs worth of stereo equipment maybe? An anchor chained to the rear bumper possibly?

The very first time I went to the track in my 06 Auto GT, I ran a best of 13.908. My best 60' was 2.09. This was in 95 degree heat and about 83% humidity (Houston, TX). The next time I went, the track was slick and it was about 97 degrees and 80-something% humidity. That was not a good day for me...I ran a best of 14.1 and a worst of 15.2 (2.5 60' and no traction all the way down the track). I ran a few 14.5s with 2.3ish 60'. There was no getting out of the hole that day and around mid-track, it got kinda slick and you could feel power loss due to traction loss. Maybe the track you were at wasn't prepped well...if that's the case, then some of your problems could be attributable to it.

There's always next time and there's huge amounts of room for improvement so just try to think what you did and what happened when you ran the worst times so you can look out for that next time. It doesn't sound like you did anything that worked for you but when you find it...you'll know and you'll really get hooked!

Edit: The above was when my car was bone stock (I still had the dealer plates that first time).

Maybe he has the emergency brake stuck..........JK, Try making the run without your gf in the car, even bone stock with no mods you should do high 13's.

Your times are not 'shocking'. Bad = yes - but I have seen guys run those times at the track several times. The Driver can be responsible for 2 seconds of time easily. No need for TC to be on ever down the 1320' under any circumstances.

I wouldn't go out and kick the car just yet. Search around and learn up on some drag racing tips/tricks.

Then - go out and buy a CAI & tune and a Torque Converter and you will see amazing results.

wierd... I have an automatic and I launch the car at 2 grand with traction control off. with my mods I am only able to pull a 14.1 for my fastest time at like 102 mph... but I also spin a little tire off the line... I would expect a stock to be doing at least 14.5... I have read about stock GT's running in high 13's which I dont get how that happens...
