2nd gear burnout

Guessing you're talking about the ET Street "DRs" for a 12 PSI range? The regular ET Streets call for nothing lower than 16 PSI IAW the MT website. Just want to make sure people differentiate between the two tires.

There is also a lot of BS on the boards about psi and the guys telling you to run 18+ or so psi on ET Streets are talking out of their backsides.
Remember, it's not about 2nd gear, or rpm, or anything else - keep your eye on your mph and make sure you hit over 50 mph for a couple seconds.
On ET Streets, you want the psi to be in the 12 range before the burnout. After a good burnout, they'll be in the 13.5-14 psi range which is right where you want to be.
Tracks can change drastically from one day to the next based on prep so do't let that one night get you down. If you want a good comparison, make a pass on your street tires first, and then mount your DR's and make a pass and compare the difference that way. Doing it like that on the same night is the only way to really compare the difference with accurate results.
Good luck and let me know if you need any help. Rememeber that if you don't rev it hard before you dump the clutch (4500+rpm) you will stall the car from 2nd gear. Don't be afraid to floor it before you dump the clutch. You have a rev limiter so don't worry about bumping it and just focus on your MPH.
