RE: Here's my new love
Just go really easy on the rear end (no burnouts or losing traction in general really) for 500-750 miles to be safe, you dont want them to glaze over and have to get a new rear end at 10,000 miles. (Anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, this is just data I have gathered because I just got my 07 GT as well.) That and be easy on the clutch and tranny in general, you dont wanna screw something up already, so no powershifting and such for 500-1000 miles. That is just IMO, its what I did, and no problems yet!

You should actually vary your revs often. Dont do alot of highway driving where the engine stays at the same rpms for any length of time, and you should rev it up some just to make sure everything seats correctly. The manual actually explains Ford's suggested way to break it in.
Theres an old saying that goes... "When you break in a new engine, it adopts your personality". In other words, if you drive it like a granny through the break in, it will always have a granny personality to it, but if you rip through gears during break in, its destined to be a bat out of hell..... Just something Ive heard some of the old timers and car guys say a time or two.

Good advice, I really haven't gone over 3500 except for once. Hey, I can't put my headlights and fog's on at the same time. Is there a trick to this?
