If you were me : what to get first.

RE: If you were me : what to get first.
I went show first (bought rims and a navi system) and if I had to do it over again I would![8D] Now... I FREAKING LOVE the CAI and tune and can't wait to do more "go" mods, so I will say it all depends on you. Personally, I wanted my car to stand out from the others in the lot so I did what I did, but you can't go wrong picking either.
With $1,000 I say go CAI+Tune and an exhaust. I recommend a C&L intake and tune package from www.brenspeed.com personally, as they are a very reputable seller of S197 stuff and very good tuners as well. For exhaust, I say go corsa, but thats about 560 itself, so that plus the 675 for the CAI and tune would go over your $1,000 limit, but its worth it IMO[sm=signs007.gif][sm=trust_me.gif]

i did the same thing. in my mind it was more important gettin my car lookin like i wanted and standing out than improving the performance. it is already a 300 mph car to begin with. should be able to deal with that for a while lol

CIA + tune, no question about it. And when it's tuned, run it on 93(w/the 93 tune of course). You'll love it. Big increase in acceleration. And then spend the rest of your money on gears. Trust me--you won't be sorry!!

My first mod was the C&L CAI and Tune and I was not sorry I did. The performance gains were noticeable right out of the box. The Diablosport Predator tuner is easy to use and updated programs are available for download from their website. I have and automaticand the transmission tunes really livened the shifting up.(it also works with manual trans)I also installed Steeda Under Drive Pulleys as part of the package. My best track time with those mods was 13.52 @101 MPH (1/4 Mile)
By the way, I have removed itfor my SC install and I have it all for sale in it's original box with documentation for $450.00 (CAI, Programmer, & UDP's)

I did things backwards...spent $10,000 on paint and body kit/rims/tires......than a intake and tune and the exhaust was included in the bodykit. Now I am getting the S/C, valve covers painted, and some rear suspension mods.

It all depends on what type of driver you are. Are you the kind of guy who likes to be showy (if so go rims first and exhaust for that V8 sound), or do you prefer more power?
