Man dude you did not need to cut anything. You just need to be patient and work it. I did my own and used jack stands. You just need to loosen the clamps from H back. Then when you put the new stuff on you will nee two guys one to twist and hold the axle back and then tighten. One thing though my over the axle pipe touched the rear so I needed to loosen and re-adjust. It just takes a little working with but you will get it.
