I asked about the trans pan because you are a mechanic and I thought you might have had experience with one.I was not being a smart ***, I was trying learn more about the aftermarkert pans.

Removing the trans pan is easy. Just remove the dozen or so bolts and its off. I have not removed mine yet and I dont have any experience with the 05+ Mustang aftermarket pans. I will, however, be flushing out the trans and changing the filter this summer. Great time to clean out the pan as well. Preventative maintenence is just that, do it before problems arise and you significantly extend the life of your car. The vast majority of people on this board are that way and my hats off to ya. I am just so amazed at what alot of ordinary, non-car type people do. "I couldnt turn the radio up any more without hurting my ears to drown out the noise my wheel (bearing)was making!" Yes, That is an actual customer statement!

Drove my wife's Jeep last month (I hardly ever drive it) and heard a distinct warble-warble noise coming from underneath at 20mph+.
Keep in mind this thing's been a major headache since we bought it and I'm terrified now that it's out of warranty.
So I ask her, "Honey, how long's the Jeep been making that noise?"
She responds, "Oh, you mean that funny noise? It's been doing that for awhile."
So I say, "Didn't you think something might be wrong?"
She replies, "Well, no. Not really. I mean, it still drives ok so I just turn up the stereo to drown it out."
