Default revving the engine really really high?

last night at the track, in the burnout box, i got the RPM's a little ridiculously high, lets just say a bit north of 6500, a couple times. the car feels a little quicker now, more responsive, no check engine light, no nothing.

is it possible i could have hurt anything?

I have my rev limit set at 6,800 and my shift point at 6,400 rpm. Have hit the rev limit many times with no problems ....so far!
