Hello experts,

I was trying to get a hold of doug today at B A M A chips but missed him, I need to know if he includes one of his custom tunes with the purchase of a cold air kit from him. I do not want to buy the package deal (CAI, Tuner and Tune) I am just looking to buy the Cold Air Kit. Does anyone know the answer to this question thanks.

If you add a CAI you will need a tunner unless if you buy a K&N, AIRAID, or S&B. These dont need a tunner. (Ithink I understood your question right...or no?)

If you're buying a CAI without a tune, you won't get as much of a performance increase. You're better off saving up until you can get a CAI+tuner compo, which basically makes it like a new car for you. Its easier to plug in the tuner and re-tune your car, than it is to plug in an Ipod and reboot it. Tuners can also be used to read diagnostic codes that your car may throw in the future...

C&L also makes a no tune but I agree with everyone else get a tune if your getting a CAI.

If you buy just the intake, from B@ma or Brenspeed, it will not come with a tune. You need to buy the intake and tuner package to get the tune. I also recommend that you get a tune also. You might as well just get a K&N drop in filter and stick with the stock intake if you don't get a tune.

If your on a shoe string budget, do what I did. But an intake and tuner used and use a canned tune. I bought my C&L Street for $160 shipped, and a Diablosport tuner for $190 shipped. I'm using the Diablosport canned tune for the C&L Intake.

Go with the combo. You won't regret it. If you have already order the CAI, don't install it until you can get a tuner. I'm sure Doug will work with you.
