Best sounding Muffler
I want to change my stock exhaust out to something louder and meaner in sound. I have a 2006 GT 5 spd. I have heard that the SLP Loudmouths sound awesome but I also heard they sound like a normal glasspack. Can anyone tell me what the truth really is from their own experience.
What sounds the best by just changing out the muffler? |

There is no real answer.....its all an opinion of the individual.

I understand. Seems everyone here in Texas has the flow masters. I wanted something deeper and different. I had just heard that the SLP's were awesome but do not know. Sound clips do not do justice sometimes.

I honestly thing the best sounding mufflers is no mufflers. SLP, Boom Tubes, or even having your local exhaust guy just do muffler deletes sound the meanest. It it loud but not too loud, and it definitely had a deep tone.

Is it legal to run no muffler? Won't you get the popping noise and don't you need the backflow pressure?

RE: Best sounding Muffler
I think that backflow pressure thing is a nasty myth.

RE: Best sounding Muffler
well slp loudmouths don't have mufflers they are just streight pipes, so it would be the same thing if you just chopped off your muffs
