Default Centrifugal's and 3.73's

I just wanted to see if there are any centrifugal supercharger owners out there with 3.73's and to ask how they like that gear ratio or if given a second chance would they have gone with a 4.10 instead.

I have 3.55's with 275/35/18 drag radials which takes me to a 3.70 effective ratio, I barely notice the difference after it's going, but launching is smoother, I will be going to 3.90 gears myself which with these tires will net me around a4.12 but I'm sure there are 4.10 geared SC's who can chime in.

I have 3.73 with my Centi and Auto. I like it. Obviously I can't tell you what 4.10s would be like, but I'm pretty sure that would render 1st and 2nd useless and create a horrible 60 ft time. 3.73 or 3.90 would be the best choice. I heard that the motive 3.90s whine alot though.

You can run 130 in the 1/4 on 4.10's.

That should be all you need to know to determine if the 4.10's are right for you.

So many people think gears have something to do with s/c, etc. etc. The simple truth is you want the tallest gear you can go for your power band and mph. If you think you are going to run faster than 130 mph, then the 4.10's will be too tall.

99.9% of you will not be running over 130 mph and the 4.10's would be just fine.

I ran 4.10's with the Vortech @ 14 psi on the stock motor for a year with 60's averaging in the 1.5's turning 11.60's @ 120ish mph on a manual trans.
