I have the Borla catback exhaust system installed on my car.......really awakened the idle to a deeper "purr" and at WOT the car sounds absolutely great!!! It is really funny when I pull in, people ask "What kind of motor does that car have??" I think retail on the system is 750-800, but I was able to order it online for $630 (that included shipping to me).

Very easy installation, did it at home in about 1 1/2 hours.(took more time getting the stock muffler off than putting the new one on). Good luck on your decision! Shella ~

+1 on the Borla Catback exhaust system! I just put one on my new '07 Mustang GT after the first 1600 miles and boy what a difference. There is acomplete lack of raspiness; think smooth, authoritative, deep rumbling idle and the slightest application of gas pedal results in loud, mean andhellaciousroar that still maintains it's smooth low end enhanced character. Wide open the engine sounds...I cant really find the right adjectives other than baaaad! Yet it'snot annoyingly loud, far from it but it is louder than it was with the factory parts in place. Ease off the pedal at 40 mph (or 60 for that matter)and the roar tames down to almost a whisper until you apply more pedal. There's a complex series of different sounds the engine now makes, and all of them GOOD with this new exhaust system. I can only compare it to the original stock exhaust however since I've no experience whatever with any of the other popular replacement exhaust brands. The car also definitely feels more torquey and quicker at lower rpms than before as well, there's no doubt about it. Mine was the Borla#140135set and I paid $756 plus $60 for the install. Money well spent.
