Default 05 valve cover on 07

Will valve covers from an 05 GT fit an 07 GT?

Just had mine off today and I didn't notice if the extra bolt holes are there. So the answer, I don't know. Why do you ask.

I've got a line on a pair off an 05.If I get them I am going to have them powder coated, that way I won't have to take mine off and have to wait while they are being coated. Just the impatient type!

Gotcha, I believe there was a post some time back about 07 cam covers. Did you try searching. I do know they're different for 07.

The difference is the number of bolt holes between 05/06 & the 07's. Number of bolts was reduced to 9 or 7, instead of 13 (or 14) like the 05/06 covers.

Yes, but I didn't find anything useful regarding the difference between 05 and 07.

Thanx, you saved me from finding out the hard way.

If I remember the original post correctly it was mentioned that the cylinder heads were the same though. I'll do some searching myself. I just wished I had paid better attention when I had mine off. I did take pics but my camera is at work. I'll take a look in the a.m.

Cylinder heads are different. You will need 07 valve covers.

I just spoke with Steeda regarding the same issue. I ordered the powdercoated cam covers for my 06 and got the 07 which have 10 bolts instead of 15 on my factory 06. He said it was a change done at ford to save money on fasteners and tooling. He said the 07's will work on the 05-06. As for the 05's working on an 07, I don't know if the pattern changed on the head design.
