Kenne Bell or Whipple
Alright, so everyone chime in! What are the pros and cons of each kit? People who have installed them, any major problems? Does the Kenne Bell really have no whine to it? Etc... I want to hear it all.

glad to hear your gettin your s/c [sm=happy046.gif]
if your gonna install yourself, i would read
both manuals and pick the one that feels
most comfortable. to me, they're both top
notch and excellent units.

My KB whines. Just go beyond 8 PSI and you will get whine, but not like a centrifugal.
KB rocks, never had a problem with mine. Lots of track and street flogging still on original belt.

The KB doesn't whine?

HMMMM....
Turn it up and it screams.
As far as the posters question - If I was planning on staying on the stock motor and being perfectly happy with the 9-10 psi range, I would get the whipple. If I planned on bigger power in the future, I would get the KB...Simple.
The Whipple is more effecient and runs cooler in mild boost levels and better for the street there IMO but the KB has more power potential. Choose your poison as they are both great units and pick based on what and where you think your wants will be in the future.

Hi,
The KenneBell 8lb intercooled kit I installed on my wife's 06 Roush Sport Vert, does not whine. It does whistle audibly. The only 2 ways to get a KB is to either order direct from KB, or go to an authorized KB installer for purchase and installation. If you are considering KB they have a ton of info on thier website. Biggest diff I know of is the Whipple replaces the fuel pump and KB uses a Boost-A-Pump. You also need to buy your HT0 plugs seperately with the KB. $5699 from KB plus shipping.
Careful of that video. It ain't on one of "our" engines(it's on a 5.4L). That sucker donesn't sound anything like mine. Also beware of any videos on a dyno. They don't sound the same out in the open on the street!!!!!
Good luck
Paul
