I have a horrible time just speeding up with traffic without falling behind or sounding stupid by flooring the loudmouths just trying to keep up. For this reason I don't race at all.... Its also why I've modded by suspension so much so I could get into autocrossing - because the speed is just not good enough at all for power-based racing. Yes I have CAI + tune but it really didn't do much. Its nice to know its there though...

sorry not stock. Who wants a stock S197?
obviously if I have beaten those cars I am running some boost?
My point is if you add forced induction and a few more goodies you can easily compete with or beat some very fast cars.

I seem to recall you also made a statement about your 3rd gear feeling really weak in another thread..

I don't know you of course, but I could only venture to guess you aren't driving optimally or something is wrong with your car. Unless you are trying to keep up with traffic while you are in 5th gear starting at 25mph you should never ever ever ever ever everhave a problem keep up with traffic.

Or you are just exaggerating. Either way it just doesn't sound right period. I've never had such problems stock or otherwise nor have any of the other S197 GT owners I know.

Yea unless your avg car where you live is a corvette z06; traffic is a joke. todays avg car is getting faster but i would saw low 200ish hp about avg.
