I think everything you say is true.My stock sgt was dynoed at 319..279rwhp.After putting a novi 1200 w/inter from shelby(over priced for the shelby paxton name plate),JBA shortys,Dynomax mufflers,a smaller blower pulley(13psi)100 oct gass,sctx2 custom tune and CMCV delete plates, she is running 524rwhp.total cost for car and mods 50,000.I think shelby would be proud..maybe like 40 years a go.I have only one person to thank for my modern day mussle car ...ME.Shelby was once great and now he is just an old man signing the papers. If by chance he reads this YOU OWE ME SHELBY SGT 0779

Peace Brother
man I hope you plan to forge that thing soon....that's a ticking time bomb!
No ****.....524 on stock internals is not a good thing, hopefully that 50, 000 includes that.....otherwise this guy doesnt know a thing about what the 50,000 bought him

My engine ran for 36miles before the engine blew up the first time at 14psi. It blew again at 10psi after 300miles.
13psi is a joke on the stock motor. You would be safer running that kind of pressure on the v6 version.

I got the internals done and dropped down to 8psi after that.

I'm at 18PSI on the GT500 running the KB and it's holding up great. I would say, if you are planning on going over 500hp, buy the crated 5.4L.

You definately need forged rods and pistons. I'm not sure what kind of power the 05+ crank can hold, but you might be ok there.

We saw a Shelby GT while going shopping the other day.
My son (who is not yet 3) wanted me to catch it.

I had a really hard time, but then again I was in the Explorer

Beautiful car, it probably is a bit over priced (or not, people seem to be buying them!) but is a beautiful machine. Even from our view looking in, we could see a nice big plaque with Shelby's name on it (at least I think that's what it was). Very cool. An older couple maybe in their 50s, they seemed to have a big smile on their face. Good for them I say!

I'd much rather stare at one of those than some tuned STi or Evo on the street. Speed is nice and all for the driver, but a classic looking machine brightens up everyone's day!
