another summertime only thing thatmight help- if running stock airbox put a piece of ductape over the hole in the leftrear corner- apparently there to suck some warm air off the exhaust manifold? I just noticed it recently, next time you pop the lid off look back in the square 'socket' in the back- theres a little hot air hole at the bottom...forgot to tape mine last time at the strip- will do next time to see if any improvement

Howarmat. Mine was made March 2, 2005. So thats kindof odd..... Maybe it was place only on cars in a certain region

i couldn't find it and i'm an 05 not sure of the month though, at least it wasn't at the tip where the intake tube meets the airbox hopefully that thing didn't get sucked somewhere up my intake tube, ... either way i'll be getting a new intake soon so the prob will be fixed if it is there
