Default Brand new GT, looking for upgrade suggestions

I have 2008 Mustang GT convertible on order. Should be here around July 1st or so. My dealer "threw in" the Ford Racing Power Upgrade with air intake and tune. The car is an automatic (wife doesn't drive stick). I'm looking for suggestions as to what is the most bang for my buck in performance upgrades. I'm not planning to race the car but would like to get all the horsepower I can. Oh, and I'm not much of a mechanic so I won't be doing the work myself.

Thanks for any input

Since you got the power package, I would probably get long tube headers next and then work with the suspension, UCL and LCAs. An aluminum driveshaft will help reduce some weight.

Thanks. Headers or some form of higher performance exhaust is definitely on my list!

depending on how much you want to initially spend- less$- under drive pulleys give~7-10hp, more$ long tube headers. suspension LCA's and UCA. Once question is did they change the tune with your intake. If not, getting a new tune will give the most initial hp.

+1 Get a tune, theFRPP tunes will be conservative. If you got the power pack I would look into changing to the Steeda intake tube as the FRPP power pack uses thier filter(as I understand it)but it uses the stock intake tube. I just loaded up my Brenspeed 92 Octane tune today and it is a huge difference. You wont see as much as if it were stock but you will get a much better tune from Brenspeed or B amachips. Underdrive pulley's are also good bang for the buck as said above.

Thanks for all the advice. I'm starting to realize this car is going to cost a lot more than the sticker price$$$$

You need to work on your suspension....you arent getting the best you can from the mods you have got or are listed here without it.
