Did anyone ever answer as to the definition of the "stealth" update?

the stealth update would be if a ford dealership
flashes your car's pcm, with a new tune & strategy
code (without alerting you of it). this is of importance,
if you upload custom tunes on your own, with a
handheld device.

Correct, its not really a "stealth update" or anything. I do not think they have to tell you they updated it anyway. But if you do tune your car, always remove your tune and return the stock tune if possible....it will save you headaches down the road.

I checked and then wrote it down before loadingmy tune even though I hadnt been to the dealer. It's good for furture reference if you do take it in for anything.

I do wish they'd told me, though.
I had it in for state inspection, and I'm thinking the update possibly had some new emissions code in it, so it makes perfect sense that they would've flashed it.
When I had it in last year to have the fuel pump replaced, the work order did specify that the PCM was reset, so I was kinda hoping that if they did anything to it last May it would've been documented.
Oh well.
At least I've been able to spend the weekend polishing the hell outta the inlet tube on the CAI and practicing install/deinstall the JLT and stock airbox (for any future dealer visits).
Would've rather spent it burning up ~ $100 in gas and possibly more in tire rubber.
I'm just glad that I learned enough from the shared wisdom on this forum to check the strategy before doing anything at all.
