Default Frustrated with my 1/4 mile times

I added M/T ET street drag radials, smaller pulley for S/C, updated tune, and I still run mid 12's! My brother seems to think I'm not heating the tires up enough and not launching hard enough. It's like I'm hitting some barrier I can't break! Wish I knew what would help me dig deeper into the 12's or possibly high 11's would be awesome! Maybe I should try shifting the automatic myself once or maybe 4.10 gears. I'll try ANYTHING

Shouldn't your trap speed be higher? I'm hoping to trap 108 next time after adding my gears.

Sounds like a dyno tune is in order.

60ft? That and you should probably get some 4.10s. And dont shift your auto, just put that bad boy in drive and go. Also a 3000-3500 stall converter wouldnt hurt, thats if you plan on racing at the track often.

Yeah, I need a custom dyno tune. Also, my suspension is stock. I wanted to get 4.10's, but everyone says it's too much for a supercharged car. Maybe I should try them anyway. My 60ft was only a 1.9
My brother says I should be at or close to redline when going through the trap at the end of the strip. I'm nowhere near it.

First the trap speed is to slow for what your running my guess is it should be over 110(my best trap N/A is 107). What gear are u running and what gear do u use to cross the line? The 60ft time is not bad not great for dr's but not bad at all. I would look into some susp mods before 4.10 gear and would say they are to steep for a s/c if u drive it on the street alot.

Everything you do to get down the track faster will have an effect on the streetability of your car. It's definitely a trade-off in terms of comfort, interior space, gas mileage , convenience. Torque converter was mentioned in a couple of posts. I have quite a high stall at 4000. It'sstill OK to drive in traffic but there's a lot of slippageand a big thunking sound and a smack to the neck and back of the head on every gear change from 1st to 2nd. These are all perfectly normal characteristics for the carnow but I wouldn't want to commute 30 minutes in heavy traffic anymore.

First, what elevation are you running at, if you're at higher altitudes then lower ET and MPH is fully expected. If you're close to sea level or below 2400ft you are running slower than expected.
Forget about street tires and how you raced with them, when running good tires like the ones you have installed you can actually attack the launch instead of being gentle with it.
With an automatic with a tune there is no need to manually shift, the guy who did the tuning should have added the perfect shift points for your setup making consistent runs possible.

Please post the timeslip as it will tell us how the entire run was and if possible find out what the air density was for the day or night you ran.
