Default Aftermarket clutch!!

Ok so the Ram HD Clutch that is rated for over 650hp that is supposed to be a direct bolt on replacement is giving me hell. I have noticed since I got my car back up and running that it has been getting harder and harder to shift up until yesterday were now it is almost impossible to put in gear. Any of you guys had any headaches from aftermarket clutch setups?? Looks like I am going to be replacing the slave cylinder or master cylinder or both.[&o]An for a side note:I hate internal slave cylinders.[:@]

You put in an aftermarket clutch? I cant even put my car into gear at idle because the clutch is not fully disengaging its dragging pretty hard. If you are having the same issue then its not your transmission thats broke its either your master or slave cylinder.

One thing I noticed after my clutch install was that my master cylinder reservoir was completely full. I reduced it to the recommended level on the reservoir to curtail any exploding parts. My car has some vibes between 1800 and 2000 rpm in 3rd through 5th but I'm thinking its due to the aluminum flywheel. I checked through the little inspection hole at the bottom of the tranny and my clutch pressure plate and all aren't loose. And once I disengage the clutch while driving the vibes go away so it shouldn't be the D/S. Its not violent or undriveable but its something I'm definitely watching. Everything else shifting and all are great. Knock on wood.

did you get a replacement clutch because you thought you needed it, or you just wanted it for the future??

Were you killing your old one?

-just curious.

i have a spec stage 3+ clutch and love it. i had some minor issues for the first 1500 miles, but now that it's broke in i have no problems. reverse is sometimes a bear - but i think that's typical of the 5 speeds. my '01 cobra had the same issue
