NEED HELP with SCT x-cal2 Tuner
I recently had a custom tune done on my 07 GT 5-sp manual. I had the tune shop enable the options portion of the SCT xcal2 tuner so that I could lower the fan settings on the car. I asked how this is done thru the tuner. The tune shop referred me to SCT and SCT gave me a generalized answer as to how this is done. I did not have success when I tried to do this.
Could someone help with step by step instructions in order to change (lower) the fan settings on this car. After doing this once I will understandhow to work with the tuner.
Thanks for the help.

RE: NEED HELP with SCT x-cal2 Tuner
Plug in the tuner and follow the prompts. You will need to reload the custom tune and it will ask if you want to customize setting or something to that effect. Select yes and then scroll down until you see hi speed and low speed fan settings. Select each fan and set the temp to what you want then press select again to back out. Once your done press cancel and it will ask if you want to save the current settings, select yes and then load the tune.
You have to reload the tune with the new setting when you want to change anything.

RE: NEED HELP with SCT x-cal2 Tuner
While cant tell you a good temp to set it at, I can tell you it's probably not good to have the fan run constantly. That will just cause it to wear out faster than it should and you really dont need it to run all the time. I guess it would partially depend on what it's set at stock and go from there maybe make it cooler than stock but as I said I cant see a reason for then to run constant. You could also ask Brent the reason he has the fans running constantly andwhere to set it. I may do that as well before changing the fan setting. One other thing that would play a part in this setting would be UDP's especially in stop&go traffic situations during the summer months of the year.
