Default Odd Startup Sound

It sounds like the tickingfrom the air compressor when ac is on, but in this case it’s not on and it's only a single click when the engine turns over. This doesn't happen all the time though, if the car sits for more than 7 hrs or so, the sound is again noticable.

Engine Mods: Jlt Intake&Shaker Hood Combo, and Steeda Udp’s.

If this has been discussed already, please point me to the thread.

Thanks

I have heard the click also. It sounds like a relay is switching on or something. Was the A/C or defroster on when you turned the switch off? Just a guess.

That’s a good point, so I cycled through the Ac on for a couple min. then shut off with button and left the air flow dial to the right of the off position. I will post back if this helps or not. I have to say with the Ac on, the compressor click is pretty loud, even at 2000 rpm with Slp Loudmouths, I can still here the occasional clicking.

Thanks

Ok, the single clicking sound is still present at startup. This only happens when the car has been parked for awhile. I would take it to the dealer, although it would have to be there a couple days, since this doesn't occur on every start. I will continue researching in the meantime.

Thanks
