Anyone using a K&N Aircharger in 07 GT?
I just bought one. I tried doing research and it appears that the K&N at $221.00 shipped was the best deal. I looked at the shape versus other CAI shapes and the K&N seemed to be as unrestricted as any other. And, it's supposed to work without needing a special tune.
What do you think?

I was going to go with either the K&N or the BBK because neither of them need a tune. But keep this in mind your not going to get alot of hp out of these 2. I would rec. either getting a C&L or a JLT intake/tune package from Brenspeed. There very good over there from what ive heard.

C&L Has a restriction insert for their kits that you can install before you get a tune. You can simply remove it when you decide which tune is right for you. That's the route I'll be going for my CAI.

The CaI that do some real hp gains for the money being spent are the 90+mm (c&l,jlt, etc)

its not a bad CAI...but gains are anything really. do some actually research and you will see that a CAI/Tuner combo from Brenspeed or B amachips is the only way to go on this.

Thanks for all the replies.
I did do some research and found a magazine reprint that tested 6 or 8 different CAI set ups in 2006. The K&N didn't score the highest, but the writers were very impressed. K&N claims a 15.26HP increase at the rear, and in the actual dyno tests, the writers reported an actual 18HP increase. They said that K&N generally understates their products and these tests proved it.
A tuner is somewhere down the road. Thanks again.
