Need help! Want mean exhaust!

Alright... i know this question's getting old, but i really need help picking out exhaust. I just got my 2005 GT 5-speed for graduation. I'm looking for the best muscle-sounding exhaust. The meanest exhaust out there. One of my best friends has a Z28 camaro with a BAD@$$ flowmaster exhaust, but people say the drone's bad on mustangs. I like the frpp stingers, but i don't believe those are loud enough for what i want. I hear the loudmouths are loud, but i've also read a lot of complaints on here. And i have no clue what to do on headers, h pipes, or catbacks. I'm not that much of a car guy yet... so PLEASE HELP.
(I posted this on the Pipes, Boost & Juice section but i figured it wouldn't hurt to put it on here.)

I justhave the stingers and when I go through a parking garage I have no problem setting off a few car alarms, so they are plenty loud for me. If you really want loud get an O/R H pipe with SLP loudmouths.

i like the flows and offf road x, but you know its just a preference. you should listen to some in real life if possible, computer speakers cant do justice for exhaust sounds

Off-road H-pipe + Corsa axle-back = MEAN!!

WOT from inside: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PJXwoljdWs

In normal driving at a constant speed, the noise isn't that loud in theinterior. There's still no drone! If you want no drone, Corsa is the only way to go.

I've been looking for a while, and i think i'm gonna go with the slp loudmouths and a bassani offroad xpipe. But one more question. Should i get a catted xpipe or not? And what's the difference? (Sorry if that's a stupid question, but like i said.. i'm not that much of a mechanic)

Not a stupid question. I've had my car for 2-1/2 years and STILL am seeking out the perfect sound on the car.

I bought the Bassani x pipe kit that allows you to swap in the cats or just go off road. when the uncatted xpipe was first put in, I found it WAY too raspy, so tried it with the cats. This mellowed the tone down just fine. they are hiflow cats. Check out my signature, and play the 3 exhaust videos. The first is just with the new axleback muffler, the second adds the Bassani catted xpipe, and the 3rd is the addition of BBK headers. Turn the bass up on your computer and that will help give a good approximation of the real sound. also, over time the sound is changing and getting deeper...

+1 for Loudmouth. Don't worry about drone it's nothing near an F-body's. Trust me I had the LM on my LS-1 TA, I know drone.

Get an off road h-pipe it will sound nasty and loud with just about any muffler. I liked the sound of mine better while driving with the stock mufflers but you cant beat my idle with the MRT axle back just starting my car now wakes up the neigbors. The best exhaust I have heard in person is long tube headers and a o/r pipe to the stock mufflers.
