I am low also (8.7:1) and at 14-15 psi, I see 501 rwhp and 618 ftq!

Now you just need to be able to hook up it up and get some good times. You have the HP for a great MPH but I think you're lacking in the torque department right now for a mid 10. I think an 11.0X is feasible with what you've got right now on some slicks. I could be wrong but it's what I think. It's all going to depend on what you can 60'. If you can get your 60's in at least the very low 1.5 range, I think you will be very happy with the results.

I mean...isn't the reason behind our relatively good 1/4 numbers for S197s is the aggressive gearing in the new trans? not every 3600-3700lb car with only 300hp and 320torque is clocking 13.8-13.6 with an auto, correct?

Hey did not mean to **** in your Cherrios, sorry. By the way talked TCI Yesterday 5r55s built out in Oct. 2007 on the trans talk . By the way nice numbers on low comp. and med. psi. congrates.

I realized some people are replacing their 5speed autos with AODs or 4R70W for that matter, why? is it torque capacity 'cause obviously no one makes a heavy duty version of the new auto yet?
I mean...isn't the reason behind our relatively good 1/4 numbers for S197s is the aggressive gearing in the new trans? not every 3600-3700lb car with only 300hp and 320torque is clocking 13.8-13.6 with an auto, correct?
