Congrads on coming over to the GT side lol. The GT gets alot of attention and i also get alot of compliments, But sometimes to much attention can get you in trouble cuz now the cops will hear you coming and they will also see you lol

ORIGINAL: yzfmik

My car gets all kinds of attention, which I find odd since it's just a GT w/ stripes, but I'll take it, lol.
No such thing as JUST a GT....It's THE GT.......They do draw the attention, no doubt....One of the funniest for me happened yesterday.....

About a month or so ago, I blew out my knee, and had to see an Orthopedic Surgeon. When I went to his office, I read his profile, and one of his interests is restoring old Mustangs. Of course, I had to mention that when I met him....Fast forward to yesterday.....
Saw him for a post op check. When he finished, he asked me if I drove my Mustang there. Told him ya, but I didn't park it out back where he could see it through the window. He handed me my chart, told me to go make an appointment....Next thing I know, he is standing there waiting for me in the waiting room, with several others waiting for him. He rides down the elevator with me, and comes out to look at my car.....We stood out in the parking lot for probably 15 minutes going over my car....All the while, his office staff is having a fit, because this is "not part of his schedule"....!!!

You just gotta love these cars.....

Mike

It is awesome to see people stop what they are doing and look. The exhaust always gets their attention.

+1
Just the other month I had to pass through a sobriety checkpoint on a late Sat. night about a mile from my house(no, I hadn't been drinking-lol). Theofficer just couldn't get over my car(we're talking LAPD here), called over the officer checking the other lane(two lanes of checkpoint) to check out my ride. Funny part? They took their time looking and all the people waiting couldn't do $hit about it. Once they learned Iam also a city employee they told me they put a good word out to fellow officers about my me & my car(as long as I don't do anthing silly!). Hey, sometimes it pays to have good taste[8D]

Where did you get your stripes? That looks awesome on the Tungsten, are they light silver? I've been thinking of doing them in Alloy or charcoal on mine.
