My stock 05 nearly ran over a modded E36 on a 3 to 4 shift at 100mph......had to quit. Took another run in 3rd through 4th into the 120's and I had him by 4 or 5 cars(this is where I thought he might have a better chance.

I've wondered about the lightening never got a chance to mess with one.

The lightning will probably take since you have 20s and an auto, but you may win, they have serious traction issues. I use to race my friends lightning all the time when we were both stock, it was close... untill I got my intake and tune, then he was no problem. Now he's making over 400 to the wheels, and like 80 billion torque and he takes me pretty good.

I looked up the F-150 SVT Lightning's stats.
380HP, 5.4Liter V8, Eaton Supercharged.
1/4mile - 13.6 / 13.8 sec.
0-60mph - 5.8 sec.

So i'll probably jump in front from the start and then he'll start pulling on me until he passes me like KTownGT said.

Stock GT VS Stock Lightning would be a drivers race, seeing they both have about the same 1/4mile times. The race is tommorow night, i'll keep you guys updated so other stock guys 'll know whether they can mess with the lightning's or not lol

I've got both and I think my Stang feels faster but times at the strip tell a different story, my truck is .3 faster. It'll be a drivers race if both are stock.

I raced a lighting back when my car just had an intake and and tune and walked him with me 20s on. Also raced an E46 M3 and walked him, so the E36 should not be a problem.

i raced a lightning about a month ago going to work.i got the jump,got up about 2 to 3 cars on him and we stayed like that til i had to turn.i have an auto with a tune and intake,i also have 17's.

my friend has a 95 M3, and he has done a little upper end work, intake, exaust, and i can out run him. but like some one said earlier, year plays a role, 96 and up were a bit different. but if its stock it could be a good race

Race was post-poned till tonight.
It was raining and neither of us wanted our cars wrapped around each other or a tree.
So tonight it is!.. hoping to put it on youtube
but my damn camera is acting messed up.
