Default This is BS!

First I would like to thank everyone who responded to my Saleen or KB post, but this is what is up now.

The problem I am running into now is I can't find anyone in town to install either the KB or Saleen supercharger. The nearest place is Santa Claira and that 2.5 hours away and they need my car for a week. This sucks! I even called the 2 dealerships here in town that sell the Saleen's and they said they would not touch my car!(chug of beer) What kind of BS is that. I don't want to install it myself. I might as well go back to the drawing board, I am open to suggestions on mods, I got about 7500 cash saved for mods so fire away just remember it needs to be streetable I drive it everyday so 4.10's are out of the question but high 11's (1/4 mile time is not)

Yeah.. 5 hour total drive time and one week are not big prices to pay for an SC install. I wouldn't even think of having an SC installed at the dealership!

That is my main source of tranportation, I would need to rent a car, which is really no big deal, but my concern is if the car implodes I am screwed. A 2.5hr tow ain't cheap and I am without wheels again for who an undetermined amount of time.

I drive about 50 miles a day just back and forth to work and 40 of that is freeway otherwise I would consider the 4.10's.

excellent choice. if it were me, i would reconsider doing the
install yourself. the base saleen kit (400hp) could easily be done
in one easy weekend, probably 8 hours if you were in a hurry.

if you don't do yourself, just be patient and let an opportunity
arise

To play devil's advocate....I don't know if I would delve into that project in my own garage on a weekend if that car were my primary mode of transportation. That's got rushed job to get it finished written all over it (which usually translates to....."problems"). Likewise, you still need to find someone that will do your dyno tune.

On the flip side, if you do the 2.5 hour drive gig.....you're stuck having to go back there if any problems arise. You are in a tough spot. Have you limited yourself to Mustang shops only? Even though a Mustang outfit would be preferable, you may havesome luck with a general performance shop (so long as they have experience with FI).
