What is required with a tune? Have you done one yourself?

The best CAI/tune combo for the money you can get is from Brenspeed. It is the C&L and SCT tuner combo. Great difference in sound (intake is quite beastly), performance, and throttle response. If you try and buy an intake without a tune on the new GT, your ripping yourself off. The tune allows the intake to work to its full potential. Brenspeed has the best canned tunes out there. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to ask.

A handheld tuner and somebody who knows what they are doing. For mail order tunes go to brenspeed or b.amachips websites they are both very good and have some good combo's. You can also call them with any questions as well. Any of the top cai's will work just fine C&L as mentioned, Steeda, and JLT are all good. K&N is good but has a smaller inlet tube so it can run w/oa tune and it is all about the airflow. I personally would have gone with the Steeda but the airaid came with it so I only purchased the handheld(SCT XCAL2)from Brenspeed with tunes for my car, with the mods it currently has. As far as loading the tune on your car once you have a tune for it that is easy. You just plug into your obdII port and follow the prompts.

Don't waste your money, I bought the same one you are looking at and now it's sitting on a shelf in my garage. Installed the JLT II with SCT2 tune the car runs much better with that setup.

+1 on all of the above...now that I've stayed on topic, just wanted to brag that my retune's in my email and my C&L street will be in a big box on my doorstep when I get home, yippee! (none of you know my address, right? lol...)
...I think I'll hammer-throw the factory air box across the yard after the install...

Thank you very much for the info - I will not be purchasing that product and will go with your recommendation.

Thank you again.

So is this the product you're referring to?

this isn't addressed to me but I'll take it anyway: yes but with the C&L street intake not the bbk (although they both look cool and gain differences would be minimal, however brenspeed's fav is the C&L so that's what I went with)...

The C&L and Steeda are also good options. They are packaged with the SCT as well.

I installed the intake and tune myself. Definately something you can feel confident about.
