This is great news for those that have been looking into adding some power to their stang but have held off in fear of voiding their new vehicles warranty...Worry no more as the warranty is here!!

Here's the information:

Ford Racing is pleased to announce a 12 Month / 12,000 Mile Limited Warranty on 400 HP Superchargers, when Ford Lincoln-Mercury Dealer installed.

The following Limited Warranty Program and Pricing are effective Immediately:

400HP Super Pack Limited Warranty:


-12 Months / 12,000 Mile Limited Warranty Coverage/Eligibility: Ford Racing warrants the 400HP Supercharger for 12 months /12,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the date of installation.

-Eligibility Requirement - the Supercharger must be dealer installed prior to the vehicle reaching 3 years/36,000 miles (whichever comes first) from the new vehicle limited warranty start date.

-This warranty replaces the existing manufactures warranty for engine, driveline and suspension parts with a 12 months/12,000 mile warranty.

Warranty Registration – To register a vehicle for Ford Racing limited warranty coverage, a Ford LM Dealer must call the Ford Performance Call Center (800) 367-3788 with P&A Code, the vehicle identification number (VIN), part installation repair order number and date, Ford Racing part number, and owner information.

So why the face then? sounds like your within the 3yr/36k factory. Finding a dealer to install a customer supplied kit might be an issue. I remembr the lethal performance kit being about 4500 a week or 2 ago, maybe it was on sale. Depends on the dealer as toparts/labor cost. Mine will hit 3yrs long before it hits 36k miles I think due to my commute being very short. I'll put one on my x-mas list and beg alot lol

Isn't the new drivetrain warranty 5 years/60k? How does that affect this, I wonder. I have an 08 on order and this is definititely on my list of mods for near the end of the warranty period.

When you install a SC or any engine mod, you are most likely to void the factory warranty, I understand the dealer/FOrd must prove the problem was caused by the mod tho. At any rate I kissed good by to any warranty on my car except maybe the air conditioning and power windows lol.

Anyway that is good news, it means Ford have had time to test and evaluate the whipple SC and came to the conclusion that it is a reliable enough to offer a warranty on it.

I'm not sure if that means 12k period or 12,000 miles if your under 36?

yeah...no offense though...its a roush??,,this is great for those who want to have piece of mind...just remember...cant change the tune...pulleys etc though....
