Default 1st Oil Change

Probably a stupid question since I've been doing my own oil changes for over 30 years on my non-Ford vehicles, but I'm going to be doing my first oil change on my '07 Stang within the next 2 weeks using Amsoil's 0W-20 and an Amsoil filter. Anything I should be aware of?

Thanks,
Rick

5w-20

after draining the oil through the drain plug,
i poke a hole in the oil filter with a nail and let the
additional oil drain into my container.

Just finished my first oil change and it was a breeze, especially after looking at the how-to from Taco

How was removal of the factory installed filter? Sometimes the factory filter can be a b**ch to remove.

Some people run the 0w20 for amsoil....It depends on the climate....

Wasnt that difficult, I am glad I had an old filter wrench laying around, I picked up a new one that fits the motocraft I installed, but of course the factory one needed a different one.

Overall very easy, glad I tried it. With the cost of the syn oil its good to save on the labor. Now I just have to take advantage of the dealers free oil changes until they decide to hit me up with the 15k checkup, then its all on my own
