Nice article, at the end of the day I think there is no magic formula to determine the bhp vs rwhp ratio as it would be a nightmare to develop cosidering all the many variables involved but we can say the RWHP loss is a function of both fixed values that remain the same no matter what the BHP is and variable factors that do changeproportionaly tobhp like friction etc. and this takes us back to the beginning, for practical porposes it is easier to approximate by using a fixed percentage
