Besides the transmission, what other parts would you need to convert to the 6 speed?

I'd rather a well built 5 speed than the six speed anyday. The T-56 is H-E-A-V-Y.

I have a friend with the D&D kit. His has the .50 6th gear. He cruises at 80mph at 1800rpm with 4.10's!

I do know he had issues with the flywheel bolts. He put his in last year and I believed he advised D&D of the issue and what the proper bolts he used were, so i'm sure they have resolved it by now.

Actually, I looked on Tremec's site. They don't weigh too much more. I thought they would but apparently not. Our 3650's weigh in at about 120. The T56 is around 130. The new driveshaft alone will make up for the weight difference.

lol, might want to read his signature or at least his name next time. hint hint, procharger. I think 3.90s might be appropriate for a daily driver, otherwise the 4.10s should work well. nothing wrong with the 4.30s though. Find a gear/mph/rpm calculator and plug in the numbers to see which ratio you are comfortable with.

Nah 4.30s for sure. My buddy has 4.10s on a procharged GT with a stock trannyand his car is still streetable and tractable. 4.30s behind a T-56, especially a viper spec, should be good. Not to mention if he has tall *** heavy foose wheels or bogarts for and hopefully DRs or slicks for the track. Hwy revs and traction shouldn't be a big deal.
