Default ford racing kits

i was looking at the performance package with the mufflers and cai item # M-2006-fr1. does anyone have this setup? will it effect my warrenty if ford installs it? is it really good for 20hp ? is it worth the $950? or should i just get some other cai/tuner combo and leave it at that? this will be my first mod.

if your really concerned about keeping your warranty
intact, then sure it's a good kit. if not, there are other
combos for cai + tune that would be better.

if i knew then, what i know now, i would have supercharged
my stangie as the first mod.

yeah i said it peeps!

^^ I agree, you think its too much money, but in the long run, you end up modding well over the cost of a blower...

For $950 you could get much more than 20hp that youd get from the FRPP package...

Intake/tuner = $600
UDP = $200
CMCV Deletes = $150

...That right there will give you 35-40hp extra. Should put you around ~290whp.

Don't forget, though, that the FRPP kit comes with axle backs (GTA's). If you get just the CAI and tuner, it's only 709, so the price difference isn't that much. Probably better off with another tuner and CAI, from what I've read, but just make sure you're comparing apples to apples pricewise.

30-40 at the crank...I just got that and that cant be at the wheels. RPM outlet has some packages that are worth about 40rwhp they say....I know not to buy them from there, but with those same parts elsewhere could it be worth that much power. Buy it from Brent and avoid the horror stories of course

mind if I mix it up a bit? the UDPs plus deletes = approx. 15 hp = approx .1 off the 1320. A short gear, same $$ but could get you .5+ off the 1320 with good traction (yes install would put you over the top but still one of the best bangs for the buck along with the CAI/tuner combo)...
...sorry to "cut in"...
