Anyone know about 20/8.5 and 20/10 rims on GT?

Default Anyone know about 20/8.5 and 20/10 rims on GT?

I was wondering about putting on 20/8.5 in front and 20/10 in rear on my 2006 GT. I wanted to know if anyone had these wheel sizes on their pony and what tires would be the largest I could put on and not rub when I turn/drive. I know the suggested size tire is 255/30-20 in front and 285/30-20 in rear. To me I would personally want a thicker tire if possible!! Thanks for the advice!'

Quite a few folks despise any wheel larger than 18", some even hate larger than 17"; on these S197's. A 20" wheel results in a smaller sidewall which often causes a harsh ride and some performance issues (besides making the car begin to look clown carish). But if that's the look you like, then by all means. SOME S197's can actually pull it off.

I have 18's now and they are fine..my
Ride feels like a mustang and def not a caddy but it is what it is. I do like the look of 20's but just don't want the rubbing of the tires or to feel as though I'm riding on a wheel without padding! Thanks!
