Default Performance Exhaust

I have been thinking about this. Which exhaust set up is the best for performance? (totally ignoring all aspects of how it sounds) Or, does it really matter? Will any sort of longtube headers and mid pipe combined with any after market catback give you the same range of increase in hp?

this is an ironicthread because you were just telling a newbie to forget exhaust for the moment and do the CAI/tuner combo. Anyway, for FI prep I figure any LTs + whatever you want to put behind them would be best. Not prepping for FI...IDK, the whole gain-for-$$$ scales don't seem to tip in such a way for me to consider it too heavily...

pretty much if everything is truely mandrel bent and the same design, they will all produce nearly the same results.
