RE: what will work for me?
If you decide to get a different mid-pipe, I would suggest not getting an O/R pipe of any kind if you have an automatic. They trumpet really bad from 2500-2800rpm's which is where the auto's normally shift at during regular driving. I had an O/R H-pipe on my car with flowmasters for about a week and it drove me bonkers. It sounds amazing outside of the car, but inside was unbearable. If you have a manual trans you can get around the trumpeting by timing your shift points a little different but you will still get it sometimes. I would say stay with a catted H-pipe to get a nice clean rumble.

if you want loud, aggressive sound you should do the whole exhaust headers to axle back. my o/r x pipe has a raunchy sound, which I like. check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Yp38-0LF-g
your flowmasters will sound more low and deeper than my spintechs. anyway do research on sound clips and see what you like. but if you want free flowing exhaust then do the whole setup.

Return the Flowmasters and spend the money on an off-road h-pipe with stock mufflers instead. The Flowmasters droan so bad. If you really want them i'll trade you mine for your stockers - I hate them that much.

Most likely any H-pipe will work but the sound is what you are looking for.
